Steve Smith is a highly experienced results-oriented information technology and business professional with over 25 years of experience in Information Technology and the management of IT organizations. Experience includes start-up software and internet companies, Information Technology professional services consulting practice, in a number of other vertical markets for the development and deployment of information technology and software products. He has an excellent track record in innovative leadership ranging from launching and managing start ups to working with Fortune 100 companies. His strong business and project management focus ensures that any effort he undertakes assures that overall project scope, forecasted budgets, quality expectations and schedules are met.
Steve has directed and managed budgets from $ 2 million up to $150 million and revenue targets of over $50 million. Background includes; managing staffs from 50 to over 600 employees, and managing over 200 contractors off-shore, streamlining day-to-day IT operations, directing extensive software development, establishing excellence in IT Governance, and directing large scale company projects and initiatives with cross functional teams. After leaving the USAF, the majority of his life has been in the fields of Information Technology, professional services and project management with extensive involvement in both commercial and governmental environments in more than 9 vertical markets.
